Job summary

PharMerica in Greensburg, PA, is hiring a full-time IV Technician to join our closed-door pharmacy team serving long-term care and senior living clients. You will help clean and monitor the sterile compounding room, prepare prescriptions, and support QA and inventory management.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Pharmacy Technician license as required by state.
• 6 months–1 year of IV Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to operate a computer; recognize and identify medications.
• Detail oriented; goal oriented, team player, and effective oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Clean, maintain, and monitor the Sterile Compounding Room per USP 797 and state standards.
• Prepare and fill prescriptions for long-term care residents and Alere high-risk pregnancy patients.
• Support QA processes, ensuring compliance with compounding and documentation.
• Assist pharmacists with data entry, refill coordination, and nursing home communications.
• Stage, prepare, and fill medication orders accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain and clean infusion pumps and sterile equipment; calibrate for safety.
• Replenish and maintain Emergency Drug Kits for long-term care facilities.
• Perform shipping and tracking of Alere packages with third-party providers.
• Support inventory management, filing, phone coverage, and stocking in IV dept.
• Collaborate with Lead IV Technician and Pharmacy Supervisor on safety and compliance.
• Report operational or compliance concerns related to USP 797 standards.
