Fichtner Consulting Engineers Ltd in Stockport seeks an IT Technician to join our permanent team. You will provide first-line IT support to 200+ UK and Ireland users, assist with hardware setup, software installs, and basic device configuration in an office-based role.

Responsibilities

• Install and remove software.
• Assist with procurement of IT hardware and software.

• Assist in maintaining IT records.
• Assist with system maintenance and testing.
• Perform other reasonable IT tasks.

We are looking to engage an IT Technician on a permanent basis. You should have prior general IT support experience (inc. the building of PC hardware) and will be based at our Stockport office supporting as first line our user base of 200+ people across the UK and Ireland. As this role is primarily office based , we are looking for applications from the wider Manchester/Cheshire area.

• A NVQ Level 2 in IT or general computing.
• Prior experience with IT support.
• Prior experience with business administration.
• Effective communication skills.
• A responsive and enthusiastic personality.
• Routinely respects and understands data confidentiality and corporate IT security.
• Shows a commitment to their own continued learning and development.

The role will involve:
