Qualifications

Responsibilities

Warren County is seeking highly motivated and skilled candidates to fill the position of IT Technician. This is a full-time position that that provides first-level troubleshooting for County departments.

This is a entry level position that is responsible for the setup and installation of technology equipment, supports day-to-day IT operations, provides front-line technical support to end users for computers, printers, phones, and other IT systems, installs and configures desktop computers, laptops, mobile devices, and peripheral, assists with setup and maintenance of user accounts, email, and basic network access.

Other duties include: performs software updates, antivirus scans, routine system maintenance, troubleshoots and resolves hardware and software issues; escalates complex problems to higher-level IT staff, assists with network cabling, inventory management, and equipment deployment, supports setup and operation of A/V equipment for meetings and events, helps maintain records of IT assets, service requests and support activities, assists in maintaining cybersecurity best practices and data backup procedures, and provides basic user training and communicates clearly with staff regarding technology issues.

Any combination of education of equivalent to graduation in information Technology, Computer Science or related field. Preferred one or two years of experience providing technical support or related IT work; internship or coursework may substitute. Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and networking concepts. Industry certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, etc.) desirable.

The starting salary is $43,228.97 depending on qualifications and experience with an excellent benefits package.
