Westmoreland County is seeking an IT Network Technician to provide essential support for network and telecommunications infrastructure. You will diagnose issues, install and maintain VoIP systems, and assist with audio/visual equipment across County facilities.
The role requires 2+ years in networking/desktop support and an associate degree in IT, networking, or a related field. On-site work with opportunities for professional growth and public service impact.
Qualifications
- Associate degree preferred; equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
- Two+ years of networking/telecommunications/desktop support experience preferred.
- Must have strong English communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsabilités
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve layer 1–3 network issues including cabling, switches, and access points.
- Provide wired/wireless network support and basic configuration assistance.
- Install and maintain VoIP and analog phone equipment and related endpoints.
- Support audio/visual and microphone systems used by County departments.
- Assist with IoT devices and video presentation/teleconferencing equipment.
