Job summary

The Hawaii Health Systems Corporation, East Hawaii Region, seeks an Information Technology Specialist III to support deployment, maintenance, and operation of hardware and software across the East Hawaiʻi Region. This position provides technical support to hospital staff, clinics, and affiliated facilities to ensure reliable technology and responsive service.

Key duties include deploying and maintaining computer hardware, software, and networks; assisting end users and clinical staff;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field.
• 1½ years of IT experience involving systems analysis, design, programming, security and access management, database management, consulting, and/or installation and maintenance of computer software, hardware, telecommunications, or network infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, install, test, move, and maintain computer hardware, peripheral equipment, software, network equipment, and related technology systems.
• Provide technical support to end users and clinical staff at Hilo Benioff Medical Center, Ka‘ū Hospital, Honoka‘a Hospital, and affiliated clinics.
• Implement and document hardware and software changes, installations, upgrades, and equipment removals while maintaining system records.
• Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve technical and operational issues involving hardware, software, networks, communications systems, and application processes.
• Maintain hardware and software inventory systems and assist with equipment acquisition, transfer, and disposal processes.
• Collaborate with Information Systems staff on the implementation, training, and maintenance of Regional and Enterprise applications while providing professional and courteous customer service.
