Job summary

Phoenix Defense is seeking an IT Systems Specialist I for an on-site role in Gilbert, AZ. This temporary-to-permanent position requires hands-on support for internal staff, contractors, and Managed Services customers.

You will troubleshoot hardware, install servers, configure workstations, manage inventories, and assist with purchasing and documentation. The ideal candidate has 1-2+ years in hardware repair/helpdesk and is pursuing CompTIA Security+ with the ability to learn from senior admins.

Qualifications

• 1-2+ years’ experience in computer hardware repair and helpdesk support.
• Must obtain CompTIA Security+ within 6 months of hire.
• Knowledge of Apple and Windows machines.

Responsibilities

• Assist end users via tickets and verbal requests.
• Install servers and UPS units.
• Configure or repair laptops/desktops; maintain workstations and network performance.
• Support, install or troubleshoot OS and applications.
• Set up new employee workstations and prepare purchase requisitions.
