Job summary

Arizona Public Service (APS) is seeking an IT System Quality Engineer II to help ensure reliable, secure technology powering our employees and customers in Arizona. You will partner with project teams to embed quality from planning through implementation and to identify risks, test strategies, and metrics that drive data‑driven decisions.

In this role you will collaborate with developers and business partners, evaluate system performance, and present findings to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or equivalent.
• Minimum five years information systems audit or QA experience.
• ISTQB CTFL or equivalent.
• Strong technical knowledge across related areas.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to QA programs and projects in IT applications.
• Performs risk assessment, defines quality strategy, test strategy and test planning.
• Facilitates collaboration across business units and IT to meet requirements.
• Maintains reusable QA assets to enable QA initiatives.
• Evaluates software/system products against standards and tracks defects and fixes.
• Supports quality metrics and reporting activities.
• May mentor entry-level staff and lead testing teams.
