Job summary

The Department of Juvenile Justice is seeking a Systems Project Analyst to manage server, desktop and network support across multiple sites in the Central Region. You will install, configure and maintain LAN/WAN hardware and software, monitor network availability, and assist with security measures.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Windows Server OS and endpoints.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and OWA.
• Know-how of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
• Experience with backups and backup configurations.
• Knowledge of distributed processing operations and equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and logical thinking.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair desktop, laptop, server, and other IT hardware and software problems.
• Test, evaluate, and install software and application packages for workstation distribution and patch deployment.
• Support and monitor print server administration.
• Assist in resolving software, hardware and communication problems.
• Assist and resolve problem support calls and/or forward to appropriate area.
• Develop and implement plans to safeguard files and ensure data processing continuity.
• Confer with personnel on data access, security violations, and programming changes.
• Identify areas needing upgraded equipment, such as telecom and fiber.
• Test and evaluate hardware/software for efficiency, reliability, and compatibility.
• Read manuals to determine meeting establishment requirements.
• Monitor system performance and capacity; assist users with data communication problems.
• Train users in proper use of equipment.
