Job summary

Family Development Services is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to manage information systems, support internal users, and optimize resources. The role covers installation, configuration, maintenance, and security of multi-user environments to ensure reliable services for employees and operations.

Responsibilities include network scheduling, backups, software upgrades, and user training. Strong problem solving, communication with leadership, and familiarity with Active Directory and Windows

Qualifications

• Associates Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or related major with a minimum of 2 years of experience is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a related major is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages network computer operation scheduling, backup, storage and retrieval functions.
• Collects information to analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems.
• Maintains LAN/WAN hardware, software, and telecommunications services.
• Trains users on Head Start and non-Head Start Operations software and equipment usage.
• Troubleshoots and resolves hardware, software, and connectivity problems.
• Communicates with Assistant Directors to report and resolve software, hardware, and operations problems as it relates to the agency network.
• Knowledgeable of all software programs within the organization and consults as needed.
• Responds to inquiries from users and technical support regarding software functions.
• Installs and tests software upgrades.
• Collaborates with Operations staff to gather information about program needs.
• Administers and monitors user access to software systems.
• Administers and manages security systems such as firewalls, VPN and antivirus.
• Manages help desk system to ensure QoS on ticketing response times.
• Prepares standard statistical reports such as help desk incident reports.
• Provides reports on software systems usage and metrics.
• Collaborates with HR/Training to write user training materials.
• Administers and manages telephone PBX enterprise-wide.
