Job summary

Prodapt is seeking a skilled IT Systems Administrator to manage, optimize, and secure dual-environment server infrastructure. You will deploy, configure, maintain, and monitor Windows and Linux servers to ensure high availability, performance, and security across corporate systems.

The role involves administering AD/GPOs, virtualization with VMware vSphere or Hyper‑V, and backup/recovery planning. On-site work is required, with opportunities to work across hybrid networks.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong dual‑proficiency in Windows Server administration and Linux server administration.
• Solid grasp of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, Firewalls, and secure VPN routing.
• Automation experience using PowerShell or Bash scripting.
• Excellent root‑cause analysis and incident recovery skills.
• Must be fully available to work on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server versions and Linux distributions on physical and virtual systems.
• Administer Active Directory, GPOs, DNS, and DHCP; manage user identities across hybrid networks.
• Provision, monitor, and scale workloads using VMware vSphere or Hyper‑V; manage NAS/SAN storage.
• Implement OS hardening, baseline access controls, vulnerability management, and endpoint protection.
• Define and test enterprise backup and disaster recovery plans.
• Monitor system performance with enterprise tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Datadog) and optimize uptime.
• Serve as Tier 3 escalation for the Service Desk to resolve OS/network/server issues.
