Job summary

Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches is seeking a Systems Administrator to deliver advanced IT support for staff, overseeing desktop OS deployments, VOIP systems, and cloud services. The role reports to the Director of IT and aims to keep technology infrastructure secure and efficient across the organization.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of IT support experience and may hold an Associate degree with CompTIA or Microsoft certifications.

Qualifications

Minimum of three years IT technical support experience.
Associate degree and industry certifications preferred (A+, Network+, Modern Desktop Administrator).

Responsibilities

Provide advanced technical support via phone, email, in-person interactions, and help desk for hardware, software, networking, OS, applications, and VOIP issues.
Manage Help Desk operations including ticketing, documentation, resolution, and escalation of complex issues.
Oversee deployment, configuration, and maintenance of desktop/laptop OSs with security compliance.
Train personnel on agency software and IT systems to boost productivity.
Evaluate, recommend, and install upgrades or replacements for hardware as needed.
Research and resolve complex technical issues and improve IT efficiency.
Maintain user accounts, access permissions, and security protocols per IT policies.
Stay current on IT trends and best practices to improve department.
Document IT processes to build a centralized knowledge base.
