Job summary

SHR Talent is partnering with a growing organization seeking an IT Support Administrator to join its IT team. This hands-on role blends desktop support, systems administration, and infrastructure tasks to deliver exceptional service to end users.

Responsibilities include desktop and end-user support, managing tickets, backups and monitoring, AD/Azure AD administration, and virtualization environments (VMware, Citrix).

Qualifications

• 3+ years in IT support, help desk, or related tech environment.
• Hands-on experience with Windows environments and Active Directory.
• Experience with Azure AD, DNS, DHCP, VMware, and Citrix preferred.
• Knowledge of server administration, virtualization, backups, patching, and IT security best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting across hardware, software, systems, and connectivity.
• Strong customer-service mindset; able to communicate with non-technical users.
• Ability to prioritize multiple requests in a fast-paced setting.
• Willingness to participate in after-hours/on-call support.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily desktop, help desk, and end-user support; troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, and system issues.
• Manage and resolve support tickets with timely, customer-focused assistance.
• Perform system backups, recovery, file maintenance, and monitoring for uptime and performance.
• Install, configure, test, and maintain system software, upgrades, patches, and Windows updates.
• Administer and support Microsoft Active Directory, Azure AD, DNS, DHCP, authentication, and identity services.
• Support Windows environments, physical servers, AD authentication and security; VMware and Citrix environments.
• Maintain KBOX imaging and driver feeds for desktops.
• Provide IT support for facility EMR systems.
• Ensure systems meet security requirements by applying patches and policies; support cyber-defense technologies.
• Assist with virtualization initiatives and infrastructure improvements.
• Participate in after-hours/on-call support rotation.
