The entry level position is responsible for supporting and maintaining Microsoft based operating systems, assisting end users, and performing routine system monitoring and maintenance tasks under the supervision of senior IT staff.

Job Description
Responsibilities
Demonstrate sound technical knowledge of required operating system(s).
Ensure the operating system environment is kept up to date regarding versioning and maintenance patches.
Ensure data / media recoverability by implementing a schedule of system backup operations.
Schedule installations and upgrades and maintain them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures.
Install standard products and configure them in accordance with established procedures
Coordinate disk space planning and management.
Monitor and tune system to achieve optimum performance levels by using monitoring tools and system logs.
Monitor and maintain continuity with system software licensing and maintenance agreements.
Provide recommendations regarding hardware and system software planning and budgeting.
Maintains production change control schedule and participates in change control.
Provide direction and guidance to Help Desk personnel in the handling and assignment of calls.
Required Skills/Education
1-3 years of IT experience in Windows Server Administration
Keen attention to detail

Create annual personal goals
Desired Skills
Associates or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
