Job summary

Utah Transit Authority is seeking an IT support specialist to deliver technology support and user training across networks, hardware, software, and telecommunications. This role collaborates with Desktop and Server Analysts and supports multiple IT departments, including Applications Development, Radio Communications, Network and Infrastructure, and Telecommunications.

The position requires an associate degree and two years of PC repair experience, with knowledge of Windows and Linux, plus Apple

Qualifications

Associates degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.
Two (2) years PC repair and hardware/software experience.
Knowledge of PC hardware, Windows-based software and peripherals.
Knowledge of Linux preferred.
Experience supporting mobile devices, Apple IOS preferred.
Must pass BCI, FBI, and UCJIS background check.
Valid Utah driver’s license required.
Must be a safe driver with no more than 4 moving violations in the past 3 years.
Cannot have more than 2 DUI within the last 10 years.

Responsibilities

Provide technology support and user training on network, computer hardware, software, telecommunications, and related equipment.
Assist Desktop and Server Analysts on basic administration functions as needed.
Support other IT departments such as Applications Development, Radio Communications, Network and Infrastructure, and Telecommunications.
