Job summary

RMF Engineering Inc. has an immediate need for an experienced IT Help Desk Technician to support our Baltimore IT team. The role requires strong communication, problem solving and customer service skills, with a focus on diagnosing hardware and software issues and deploying new equipment.

Responsibilities include handling requests in person, over the phone, and remotely; configuring and upgrading devices; and maintaining documentation. Bachelor’s degree preferred, competitive salary range.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 10 & 11, Microsoft Office and Acrobat/Creative Cloud.
• Experience supporting users with hardware and software issues in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via telephone and remote technologies.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and connection issues.
• Image and setup workstations, laptops and tablets for deployment.
• Use Active Directory, VMware and Microsoft Exchange for administration.
• Log and track help desk requests using internal software and escalate when needed.
• Prepare activity reports and inform management of recurring issues.
