Job summary

RMF Engineering, Inc. is seeking an experienced IT Help Desk Technician to support our Baltimore IT team in a fast-paced environment. You will provide user support, troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, and deploy new equipment.

Strong communication and customer service skills are essential, along with knowledge of Active Directory, VMware, and Microsoft Exchange. Bachelor’s degree preferred; salary range $60,000–$70,000 annually.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Working knowledge of Windows 10 & 11
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat/Creative Cloud
• Knowledge of Autodesk products preferred; not required
• Customer service practices experience

Responsibilities

• Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, phone, or remote
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and connection issues
• Investigate and resolve printing and plotting issues
• Use available resources to research questions
• Image and setup workstations, laptops and tablets for deployment
• Hardware upgrades to existing workstations and laptops
• Utilize Active Directory, VMware, and Microsoft Exchange
• Log and track help desk requests with internal software
• Prepare activity reports
• Inform management of recurring issues and solutions
• Stay current with system information and updates
