Job summary

Hendrick Medical Center is seeking a Technical Support Intern to assist in maintaining computer hardware and software systems and to help resolve technical issues impacting daily operations. The intern will support software integration by diagnosing and troubleshooting common problems, gaining hands-on experience in a healthcare IT environment.

The role emphasizes problem solving, teamwork, and effective communication while providing exposure to real-world IT support tasks within a hospital

Qualifications

• Some College in progress toward an associate or bachelor’s degree.
• Written and oral communication skills required.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and tasks.
• Ability to work successfully in a team environment.
• Occasional night, weekend, and holiday work.
• Occasional off-campus travel for site visits and training.
• Customer service or helpdesk experience is helpful.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Perform minor maintenance and repair to IT equipment.
• Replace cartridges, paper and other consumables on printers.
• Provide troubleshooting solutions for computer or OS issues.
• Install, monitor, and uninstall PCs/Printers/Scanners/Mobiles/Peripherals.

A Technical Support Intern will also support computer software integration by diagnosing and troubleshooting common problems.
