Qualifications

• Bachelors in CS/MIS/IT or related field and 1 year of related full-time experience or 5 years combined education/experience.
• Experience supporting Windows and Mac systems in a work environment.
• Familiarity with network domain environments and IT policy development.

Position Description

The IT Support Technician II’s scope includes providing technicalsupport and assistance to departments, faculty, staff, and studentswith the use of basic hardware and some software support andmaintenance. This position will also specialize in hardware andsoftware relevant to the department or unit. Major/Essential Functions

• Collaborate with other departmental and school IT staff toachieve their needs within IT OP and procedures.
• Log into phone system and is ready to receive calls.
• Ensure prompt answering of calls presented to technician in thephone system.
• Assist in the development of IT policies, procedures, andservice goals.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with coursework in computer science, MIS, IT, orother related area plus one (1) year related full-time paidexperience OR a combination of related education and/or experienceto equal five (5) years. Applicants for this position will besubject to a criminal background check after a conditional offer ofemployment has been extended, but before employment can beconfirmed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multiple operating systems including MicrosoftWindows, Apple Macintosh.
• Recognized certification in PC Support field (Preferred CompTiaA+ and Microsoft qualifications).
• Advanced experience with network domain environments.
