Job summary

D.L. Evans Bank is seeking an IT Support Technician to provide technical help desk support, maintain PCs and peripherals, load software, and assist with licensing and inventory control.

You will work with IT management and staff to ensure a robust IT environment and promote a team atmosphere. This role emphasizes timely issue resolution, user training, and collaboration across departments to support system upgrades and new software rollouts.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2 years of experience and/or training in computer hardware, software, and basic networking.
• Understanding of PC hardware and knowledge of program applications.
• Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications as well as proficient typing skills.
• Professional appearance, dress, and attitude.
• Good communication skills.
• Must be well organized.

Responsibilities

• Receives and prioritizes calls and emails from users. Assigns tasks to tickets and ensures problems are tracked, resolved, and verified.
• Provides first-line support via phone, email, or in-person to resolve hardware, software and network issues.
• Maintains backup for maintenance of backup disks.
• Communicates system status and proper equipment use to users.
• Loads and verifies software and checks for correct operations on new systems.
• Assists with hardware/software licensing and inventory management.
• Monitors system performance to ensure high availability.
• Trains new users on system usage.
• Tracks and resolves problems promptly and logs resolutions for training and reporting.
• Keeps management informed of area activities and participates in meetings.
