Job summary

OHM Advisors is seeking an IT Support Technician to ensure continuity of computer system services by installing software, repairing hardware, and resolving technical issues for users. You will also deploy and manage systems to support software and hardware delivery, and assist other IT team members on projects.

The role involves providing on-site support, onboarding/offboarding help, and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of equivalent work experience in an IT support role or active enrollment in a relevant degree program.
• Knowledge of computer hardware, software, and mobile devices.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office 365.
• Excellent interpersonal communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Field incoming service desk requests from users via ticketing system, email, telephone, and in-person in a timely, courteous manner.
• Troubleshoot, install, and upgrade end-user software and hardware.
• Provide one-on-one end-user training on relevant topics and systems on an as-needed basis.
• Maintain and troubleshoot file sharing systems for use with external users and organizations.
• Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding within the scope of assigned duties.
• Image, configure, and set up desktop and laptop computers and associated peripherals at employee workstations.
• Coordinate shipping and reclamation of computer hardware to and from remote offices.
• Maintain proper documentation and storage of deployed and available hardware assets.
• Maintain user-focused informational articles covering relevant technology topics.
• Maintain team-focused documentation on recurrent issues and known solutions.
• Provide guidance and training to other Information Technology team members when requested or required.
• Assist with company-wide software rollouts and technology upgrades.
• Provide on-site support at remote offices and outside of regular working hours as required.
