Job summary

Delta Health System in Mississippi is seeking an Information Services Technician to support staff with technical issues in a busy helpdesk.

The role focuses on diagnosing software and hardware problems, installing software, managing printers, and assisting with servers and network basics, including TCP/IP, in a healthcare IT environment. The technician will work with Windows, Meditech Magic, and Cerner Millennium, using Active Directory and Office applications daily.

Qualifications

• Two-year associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, hear, and verbally communicate effectively in English.
• Expert knowledge of desktops and printers.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and other interrelated applications.
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory.
• Basic knowledge of servers.
• Knowledge of multiple computer platforms (Windows, MS Office, Meditech Magic, Cerner Millennium).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical, software, hardware, and network problem resolution in a call center environment.
• Diagnose problems and guide users through step-by-step solutions.
• Support desktops and printers; handle printers, faxes, scanners, etc.
• Assist with software installation and Office applications.
• Utilize Active Directory and basic server knowledge as needed.
