Kettering University is seeking an IT Help Desk staff member to provide timely support for faculty and staff computers and to work with vendors on standard desktop hardware specifications. The role involves imaging OS, troubleshooting, and assisting in classrooms with multimedia equipment.

Candidates should have an Associate’s degree or equivalent in IT and demonstrate strong diagnostic abilities, teamwork, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience providing IT help desk support.
• Familiarity with Windows 10 and Mac OS.
• Ability to document issues and resolutions clearly.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely support for faculty and staff computers.
• Coordinate with vendors to define hardware specifications for standard desktops.
• Prepare new computers for deployment to staff, faculty and labs; build OS images and troubleshooting methods.
• Respond to inquiries, track issues in ticketing systems and support multimedia equipment in classrooms.
• Cover Help Desk as needed and pursue ongoing training and documentation to share knowledge.
