SBT Global is seeking an IT Support Technician (bilingual in Korean) for onsite, full-time/contract work in Columbia, NC. You will provide Windows PC and OS support, hardware/software maintenance, and basic networking in a manufacturing setting.

The role offers hands-on OS troubleshooting, imaging, device replacement, and trouble-resolution across desktop devices. Opportunity to grow into MES-related responsibilities may exist based on operational needs.

• Respond to employee IT support requests and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Provide Tier 1 and basic Tier 2 technical support for hardware, software, and connectivity problems.
• Troubleshoot printers, scanners, monitors, and other workplace IT equipment.
• Document technical issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled PC/OS Support Specialist / IT Support Technician to provide onsite IT support facility in Columbia, NC.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting Windows-based PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, and general IT troubleshooting in a corporate or manufacturing environment.

This position will primarily focus on day-to-day PC and operating system support, ensuring that end users and business operations receive timely technical assistance.

There may also be an opportunity to transition into a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Operator role in the future, depending on operational needs.

PC & Operating System Support

Provide onsite technical support for desktop computers, laptops, and Windows operating systems.

Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot PC hardware, software, and peripheral devices.

Diagnose and resolve operating system errors, application issues, and hardware malfunctions.

Perform PC setup, system imaging, software installation, and device replacement.

Support operating system updates, security patches, and routine system maintenance.

Assist with user account setup, password resets, and basic access-related issues.

Respond to employee IT support requests and troubleshoot technical issues.

Provide Tier 1 and basic Tier 2 technical support for hardware, software, and connectivity problems.

Troubleshoot printers, scanners, monitors, and other workplace IT equipment.

Document technical issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.

Escalate complex technical issues to appropriate IT teams or vendors.

Maintain accurate IT asset and equipment records.

IT Infrastructure & Operational Support

Troubleshoot basic LAN/Wi-Fi connectivity and network access issues.

Assist with workstation deployment, equipment replacement, and IT inventory management.

Coordinate with internal IT teams to ensure stable daily IT operations.

Support IT-related activities in office and manufacturing environments.

Follow company IT security policies and operational procedures.

Previous experience in IT support, desktop support, helpdesk, or PC/OS administration.

Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Windows operating systems.

Knowledge of desktop/laptop hardware installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Experience installing and troubleshooting business applications and peripheral devices.

Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, LAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN.

Familiarity with user account administration and general IT support procedures.

Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to provide technical support independently in an onsite environment.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple support requests.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting IT systems in manufacturing, automotive, logistics, or warehouse environments.

Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and remote support tools.

Experience with PC imaging, workstation deployment, and IT asset management.

Basic understanding of MES or other manufacturing IT systems.

CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft-related certifications.

Experience coordinating with corporate IT teams or external technical support vendors.
