Job summary

HJ Staffing is seeking an IT Support Specialist / Junior Systems Administrator to join our growing team. This role serves as the frontline technical anchor, primarily focusing on daily end-user support, workstation maintenance, and foundational systems administration within a manufacturing/engineering context.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of hands-on desktop support experience in a small to mid‑sized environment, and is comfortable collaborating across administrative and technical teams.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of hands‑on desktop support in a small/mid‑sized environment.
• Experience with Windows 11, performance optimization, and hardware diagnostics.
• Active Directory and Microsoft 365 Admin Center experience.
• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi‑Fi.
• Basic cybersecurity practices, endpoint protection, and patch management.
• Experience with modern help desk ticketing systems.
• Bonus: Linux, network switch configuration, and manufacturing/ERP software exposure.

Responsibilities

• Ticket, end‑user support, document troubleshooting steps and resolutions.
• Deploy, configure, patch, and maintain Windows 11 desktops; hardware repairs.
• Set up network printers, scanners, conferencing tech, and peripherals.
• Onboard/offboard users, manage accounts and password resets.
• Support Microsoft 365 apps (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
• Diagnose Tier‑1 network issues: TCP/IP, switches, Wi‑Fi, DNS, DHCP.
• Provide first‑line troubleshooting for ERP/engineering software with vendors as needed.
• Maintain IT inventory and liaise with vendors to resolve tickets.
