Virginia Paving Company is seeking an IT Support Specialist to join the Technology team in Chantilly, VA. You will be the primary contact for assigned locations, handling Tier 1-2 desktop support and coordinating with vendors for upgrades.

The role requires a strong Windows 10 background, good communication skills, and the ability to work with remote teammates. Expect a salaried, full-time schedule and standard business hours with on-call possibilities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of technical experience with hardware/software in IT environments.
• Experience in Windows 10 desktop support and peripherals (printers, monitors).
• Familiarity with ITSM systems for incident management and change logging.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Knowledge of networks, basic servers and Cisco basics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create, review and triage Tier 1-2 tickets promptly.
• Provide end-user desktop support via remote tools or on-site visits.
• Install and configure Windows 10 PCs, monitors, and printers.
• Assist with system administration tasks including updates and patches.
• Coordinate with vendors for software and firmware upgrades.
• Produce clear documentation and status updates for leadership.
