Job summary

Office of the New York State Attorney General is seeking an IT Support Specialist for the Electronic Investigative Support Group (EISG). The role supports the NYC Regional Office and statewide initiatives, providing end-user support, Windows/Microsoft 365 administration, and security updates.

Regular travel within New York state is required, with a comprehensive state benefits package and telecommuting options.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience in a technology support position within a large organization.
• An associate or bachelor’s degree in an IT field is preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to travel periodically in New York state.
• Self-motivated with a focus on excellent customer/end-user experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support and maintenance for end users.
• Manage Microsoft Windows suite, Microsoft 365, and Windows server.
• Install, maintain operating systems, updates, and mobile devices.
• Diagnose and resolve wired and wireless network issues.
• Implement security policies and manage access.
• Develop and maintain documentation and test plans.
• Travel regionally within New York state to support other offices.
• Collaborate with vendors to resolve issues.
