Job summary

The New York Attorney General's Office is seeking an Information Technology Specialist 2 (Information Security) to manage incident response within the Office of Information Security. You will monitor security tools, analyze alerts, investigate breaches, and assist in vulnerability assessments under the supervision of the Chief Information Security Officer.

This role requires two years of IT or cybersecurity experience and knowledge of SIEM tools.

Qualifications

• Two years of IT, cybersecurity, or information assurance experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field may substitute for experience.
• Experience with SIEM and security tools.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques.
• Ability to analyze complex security incidents and implement remediation strategies.

Responsibilities

• Manage incident response for the office’s information security program.
• Monitor security tools and analyze alerts to prioritize events.
• Investigate breaches and coordinate remediation under the CISO.
• Assist in vulnerability assessments and remediation strategies.
• Work under the Chief Information Security Officer to strengthen security posture.
