Job summary

Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, VA is hiring an IT Technical Support Specialist to deliver customer-facing technical help for hardware, software, and networks. You will diagnose issues, assist users remotely or in person, and ensure proper installation and operation of IT systems.

Role requires problem-solving, strong customer service, and the ability to document tickets and coordinate with IT teams. Printer repair experience is preferred and HP certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Provide technical assistance for computer hardware, applications, software and monitoring systems.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues remotely, in person, or by phone.
• Document and track support requests, resolutions and system changes.
• Escalate complex issues to higher-level IT support when needed.
• Install, configure and maintain IT hardware/software and perform system maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Offer clear, user-friendly IT guidance to non-technical customers.
• Maintain customer-focused attitude and prompt issue resolution.
• Coordinate with IT teams to resolve system-wide issues and implement solutions.
