Job summary

MVP Consulting Plus, Inc. is seeking a Junior IT Specialist for a 30-month, on-site engagement in New York. The role focuses on end-user support, hardware/software provisioning, and compliance with security standards.

Responsibilities include handling level 2 tickets, onboarding/offboarding staff, and using PowerShell to streamline management tasks. Collaboration with operations and IT teams is required to meet SLAs and maintain infrastructure stability.

Qualifications

36 months experience in desktop support.
36 months experience with design, build, testing, and debugging problems.
36 months experience in mobile device management (MDM) solutions.
36 months experience with Active Directory group policy standards.
36 months experience with Networking concepts (DHCP, VLANs, ACLs, Firewalls).
36 months of Windows 7 & 10 experience including 64 bit OS.
36 months of experience with Windows imaging deployment using MDT.
36 months experience with client-based security tools (antivirus, PKI, HDD encryption, security hardening).
36 months scripting experience - PowerShell preferred.
36 months of IT engineering: research, analysis, planning and implementation.
Certifications relevant to MS Windows
36 months experience with advanced troubleshooting for VPN, 2FA, and network printing.
36 months of AD management experience
36 months experience with cyber security best practices and compliance
36 months experience with Intel workstation hardware and OS
36 months of analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support for hardware and software and deliver high-quality end-user service.
Handle level 2 tickets and onboarding/offboarding staff with timely resolutions.
Utilize PowerShell scripting to maximize platform management productivity.
Administer corporate mobile device management solutions.
Maintain platform security and compliance per the agency's cyber security program.
Test Group Policies and updates for endpoints.
Collaborate with IT and operations teams to coordinate work and processes.
Perform system software/hardware upgrades with planning and testing.
Monitor and test current/new infrastructure products and services.
Develop deployment documentation and runbooks.
Use remote access technologies (VPN, terminal services).
Deliver desktop experience enhancements in collaboration with other departments.
