Qualifications

Associate degree and 1 year of related experience.
Bachelor’s degree can substitute for some experience.
IT helpdesk experience in an education environment preferred.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Provide first-level technical assistance for Windows, MacOS, and Linux and document incidents in the helpdesk system.
Install, configure, and upgrade computers and peripherals per departmental protocols.
Diagnose and resolve network issues, including VPN access, coordinating with network experts as needed.
Ensure proper operation of campus network resources and assist users with secure VPN use.
Provide first-tier audiovisual (A/V) support for classrooms, meetings, and presentations.
Assist with setup and troubleshooting of A/V equipment.
Educate users and create documentation on services, printers, email systems, antivirus, and spam filtering.
Collaborate with external vendors and internal stakeholders to support complex instrumentation and software systems.
Maintain system reliability and regulatory compliance while minimizing disruption to operations.
Perform other duties as assigned and comply with safety measures.
