Job summary

Catalyst IT is seeking an IT Specialist I to join our Service Desk, delivering first-line technical support to customers. You will investigate, triage, and resolve incidents for desktop/workstation environments, networking, backups, and devices, ensuring high-quality service and timely resolution.

The role involves on-site and remote support, documentation, and ongoing professional development through Catalyst IT training and certifications.

Qualifications

• 2+ years end-user support experience in a technology-related field.
• Expert knowledge in Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and Office 365.
• Basic knowledge of Networking and Windows Server Administration.
• Experience with PSA and RMM tools such as ConnectWise Manage and ConnectWise Automate.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Operate independently with self-motivation and ability to balance multiple projects.
• Associates or Bachelor degree in technology field preferred.
• Passion and strong understanding of the industry and Catalyst IT's mission.

Responsibilities

• Provide first level support, handling incidents and requests with focus on first-call resolution.
• Diagnose, triage, and escalate incidents to level two and three personnel.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support for workstations, laptops, OS, software, hardware, printers, and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot and repair hardware and software issues across multiple operating systems.
• Assist in system upgrades and maintenance and deploy software and system images.
• Develop technical documentation and processes for standard problems.
