Job summary

City of Norco is seeking an IT Help Desk professional to provide front-line support for PCs, mobile devices, and AV systems, while maintaining inventory and assisting with network and cloud services. You will work with management and vendors to resolve issues and implement solutions.

The role requires a high school diploma, two years of IT help desk experience, and CompTIA A+ within six months; knowledge of Windows and 365 is essential. A valid CA driver license is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; CompTIA A+ certification within six months.
• Two years of computer configuration, first-level network troubleshooting, and help desk experience.
• Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office/365 applications, computer hardware, and network troubleshooting.
• Ability to train and support end-users in the utilization of computers and business applications.
• Valid California driver license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-user Help Desk support for PCs, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, web-based phone and video conferencing applications.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software; track issues in ITSM system; perform routine maintenance and updates.
• Set up PCs, laptops, and peripherals for meetings; provide audio/visual (AV) support for meetings.
• Support and troubleshoot the City’s network infrastructure, including switches, access points, and firewalls; assist with phone system administration.
• Assist with vendor management and procurement; coordinate service calls and contracts.
• Stay current with information systems technology and cybersecurity best practices.
