Job summary

Wood River Health is seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide frontline technical support to clinical staff and act as liaison with IT vendors. You will help troubleshoot, educate users on hardware and software, and support EMR users to improve workflows.

The role requires strong customer service and communication skills, with a focus on end-user training and system reliability. This is a fully onsite position at Hope Valley and Westerly locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in IT or related field required.
• 1-year experience with an EMR system preferred.
• 3 years’ experience in computer networks and systems maintenance preferred.
• Ability to meet deadlines and handle stress in high-pressure situations.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to varied audiences.
• Self-starter capable of multi-tasking and working independently.
• Cultural sensitivity for diverse patient and staff populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline IT support and serve as the liaison between staff and IT vendors.
• Train staff and develop onboarding curriculum for new hires.
• Develop trainings for changes to Practice Management, EHR, and EDR systems.
• Create and maintain EHR forms, documents, and training manuals.
• Open and manage support tickets with vendors; troubleshoot devices.
• Support interfaces to outside third parties (labs, Department of Health, Partners).
• Test system changes and ensure basic system integrity and workflow improvements.
• Ensure security measures protect computer systems, networks, and data.
• Participate in IT projects including testing, rollouts, and implementations.
