Job summary

American Trophy is seeking an IT Support Specialist to be the first point of contact for staff IT needs in Miami, Florida. The role focuses on troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues and ensuring smooth operation of the technology infrastructure.

The successful candidate will install, configure, and maintain computer systems, manage user accounts, and assist with onboarding and asset inventory. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an IT support role or similar technical position.
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, Windows/macOS, and office productivity software.
• Familiarity with network principles, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• A customer-focused attitude and a commitment to providing high-quality support.
• Professional certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified Professional are highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support to on-site and remote employees, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and company software.
• Diagnose and resolve technical problems in a timely and effective manner, escalating complex issues to senior staff when necessary.
• Manage user accounts, including creation, modification, and deletion in accordance with company policy.
• Assist with the setup of new workstations and the onboarding of new employees.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets, including hardware, software licences, and peripherals.
• Support the implementation of new technologies and system upgrades.
• Create and maintain documentation for IT processes, procedures, and user guides.
