Job summary

Baseten in New York seeks an IT Support / Operations Engineer to scale our IT team, bringing technical support in-house for a seamless, high-touch employee experience. You will be the primary contact for day-to-day issues, handling hardware/software troubleshooting, onboarding, and maintaining the IT infrastructure across a hybrid SF/NY office environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and customer-focused mindset.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the escalation point for day-to-day technical support across Mac and Windows devices.
• Manage user lifecycle tasks including provisioning, deprovisioning, and access control.
• Own IT onboarding from device setup to first-day readiness for new hires.
• Maintain and improve office IT infrastructure to ensure reliability and performance.
• Build a knowledge base of self-serve resources to reduce tickets.
• Handle IT asset procurement, inventory tracking, and vendor relations.
• Support office expansions and contribute to workplace IT planning as we scale.
• Identify opportunities to automate IT workflows and reduce bottlenecks.
• Adapt to evolving needs of a fast-growing company and take on new challenges.
• Perform systems administration including access controls and cloud service maintenance.
