Job summary

HR HealthCare is seeking an IT Helpdesk Intern to assist with troubleshooting, onboarding, and endpoint management. You will configure devices, assist with account setup, and ensure security and privacy requirements are followed.

This role supports the team in handling daily IT requests, maintaining inventory, and documenting resolutions. A basic understanding of Windows, hardware, and networking is expected; familiarity with Active Directory and Microsoft 365 is a plus.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from IT, CS, Cybersecurity, IS, or related program.
• Helpdesk or internship experience preferred but not required.
• Basic understanding of Windows operating systems and computer hardware.
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts: IP addresses, Wi‑Fi, DNS, and connectivity troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and user-access issues.
• Set up, configure, and deploy computers, monitors, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
• Assist with onboarding and equipment preparation for new employees.
• Follow HIPAA and security/privacy requirements when handling systems or information.
• Support offboarding by collecting equipment and assisting with account termination.
• Assist with Microsoft 365, Windows, Active Directory, and endpoint management tasks.
• Perform basic troubleshooting for printers, applications, internet connectivity, and peripherals.
• Maintain accurate IT inventory and equipment records.
• Assist with software installations, updates, and system maintenance.
• Help monitor and maintain endpoint security and IT systems.
• Escalate complex technical or security issues to senior IT staff.
• Document support requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
• Assist with cybersecurity awareness initiatives and other IT projects.
• Perform other IT-related duties as assigned.
