Job summary

Hagerty Consulting, Inc. in Evanston, IL, seeks an IT Support Intern to administer and support software, hardware, and help desk functions. This part-time, hybrid role requires one day on site per week in Evanston.

You are pursuing an undergraduate technical degree with IT experience and familiar with Windows, Office, SharePoint, and MS Teams, plus strong communication. Prior helpdesk experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in a technical field (Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering, MIS, or similar).
• Experience in IT or a technology-related environment (internship, part-time, or academic/work-study).
• Technical familiarity with mobile devices (iOS and Android).
• Effective communication skills, including interacting with professionals and executives to troubleshoot issues.
• Prior helpdesk/service experience.

Responsibilities

• Promptly review, respond to, and elevate help desk tickets.

• Manage the inventory, deployment, maintenance, and disposal of hardware.

Position Summary:

The IT Support Intern will administer and support several software programs, support the company’s information technology (IT) hardware, provide help desk support, and help plan and support other efforts related to Hagerty’s growing technology footprint. This is a part-time, hybrid position that will require 1 day a week onsite in Evanston, Illinois.

• Technical familiarity with mobile devices (iOS and Android), Microsoft platforms/products (Windows 10/11, Office, SharePoint, MS Teams).
• Effective communication skills, including interacting with Hagerty professionals and executives on the phone to troubleshoot issues.
• Prior helpdesk/service experience.

Compensation for the IT Support Intern Includes:

• Hourly Range of $17-20. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and training, licensure and certifications, internal equity, location, travel requirements, and other business and organizational needs.
