Job summary

Tarrant County College seeks an experienced IT supervisor to oversee planning, installation and use of networked computers across county offices and partner agencies. You will manage IT resources, provide expert support for complex hardware, software and networks, and guide modernization projects in alignment with the County Strategic IT Plan.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 3 years of troubleshooting, and 2 years of supervisory exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Three (3) years of computer troubleshooting experience.
• Two (2) years of supervisory experience in information technology preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Advanced oral/written communications skills and strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously and manage projects.
• Demonstrated supervisory skills within an enterprise network organization.
• Driving may be required and valid driver's license must be held.

Responsibilities

• Manages scheduling, utilization and prioritization of IT resources for hardware/software services.
• Provides technical expertise and support of complex hardware/software, networks, and countywide applications.
• Researches and develops new products to improve the technology environment.
• Assists in implementation, configuration, control, maintenance, troubleshooting, security, and patch management.
• Recommends technical solutions and documents policies and procedures.
• Collaborates with project managers on IT and departmental projects per plan and PMO guidelines.
• Performs service tasks including user profile modifications and group policies.
• Evaluates subordinate performance and provides development guidance.
• Performs other related duties in IT Department operations.
