Job summary

Germantown Academy, a long-standing independent school near Philadelphia, seeks an IT Support Specialist & Hardware Coordinator. You will provide front-line tech support to students, faculty, and staff; manage campus hardware lifecycle; and coordinate device deployment, repair, and inventory.

The role reports to the Director of Information Technology and is a full-time, on-campus position beginning September 2026.

Qualifications

Associate degree or technical certification or equivalent experience.
Two or more years of IT support experience.
Broad knowledge of endpoint hardware, OS, networking, classroom tech, and AV systems.
Ability to troubleshoot unfamiliar technical issues independently.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

Provide front-line IT support to students, faculty and staff for hardware, software, accounts, connectivity, and classroom tech.
Document, track, and resolve issues using the help desk system.
Manage lifecycle of GA technology hardware and asset inventory.
Configure and deploy computers, tablets, and peripherals for users.
Support setup for presentations, meetings, and campus events.
