Job summary

AV Squad, a 100% employee-owned creative advertising agency, is seeking a Junior Systems Administrator / IT Support Engineer in Los Angeles. You will deliver end-user support across Windows and macOS, assist with server and network maintenance, and contribute to technology projects in a creative agency setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional IT support experience.
• Working knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
• Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting computers, peripherals, software, and network connectivity.
• Foundational knowledge of systems administration, including identity and access management, permissions, endpoint management, patching, backups, and system monitoring.
• Foundational knowledge of networking concepts: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Wi-Fi, switching, firewalls.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
• Organizational skills to balance requests, maintenance, and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person, remote, and phone support for Windows and macOS.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, OS, account, connectivity, and application issues.
• Assist with administration and maintenance of servers, storage, user accounts, permissions, and endpoint tools.
• Monitor and maintain network equipment and connectivity (switches, APs, firewalls).
• Support creative workflows using Adobe Creative Cloud apps.
• Participate in system upgrades, deployments, and IT projects.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and project work.
• Identify recurring issues and suggest improvements.
• Assist with patching, backups, access management, and maintenance.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support.
