Job summary

Jackson County Missouri Information Technology is seeking a Supervisor to manage the Support Center operations. You will set policies, direct the team, review requests, and oversee procurement and bid reviews for technical services.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of supervisory experience, plus a Missouri driver’s license and background/drug screening compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Three years of related work experience that includes experience in supervising technical employees.
• Must possess/maintain valid Missouri Driver’s License and provide his/her own transportation.
• Must submit to/pass pre-employment background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the operations of the Support Center staff.
• The employee sets Support Center policies and procedures, and assigns, directs, and reviews the work of subordinates.
• Reviews and evaluates requests for equipment and Support Services, performs product research and procurement, produces bid specifications, and performs bid submittal reviews.
• The assigned projects to this employee may pertain to highly technical areas in which the constraints defining the nature of the system are initially vague or unknown handles support tickets and provides assistance to the team when additional help, training and mentoring is needed.
