Job summary

State of Ohio information technology leadership role in Columbus seeks an IT Supervisor 3 to guide staff in developing and supporting major IT projects and complex systems. The position requires strong attention to detail, customer focus, and decisive leadership.

The role reports to the Director’s Office/Information Technology and is based at the Charles D Shipley Building in Columbus. Competitive benefits accompany a full-time schedule with regular hours.

Qualifications

• 7 1/2 years (90 months) of experience aligned with duties and required knowledge/skills per the position description.
• 12 months of project management experience as defined in the series purpose.
• Equivalent of minimum qualifications or undergraduate CS coursework plus extensive experience and PM exposure.

Responsibilities

• Manages the efforts of IT staff in the development of new IT projects and the support of large and/or complex systems.
• Leads multiple projects and coordinates technological resources in analysis, design, and delivery of IT engagements.
• Analyzes user needs and existing functions for proposed projects and maintenance activities.
• Provides technical assistance to management, users and vendors to determine specific needs to develop programs and systems.
• Coordinates with management, project managers and other IT personnel on development and delivery of applications.
