Job summary

AVANCE San Antonio Inc. seeks a Director of IT to lead technology strategy and operations for San Antonio and affiliates. You will align investments with mission, ensure secure, reliable systems, and steer governance across the network.

Responsibilities include building an enterprise IT policy framework, overseeing cybersecurity, data governance, and vendor management, and driving a modern architecture across on-prem and cloud environments. Travel and stakeholder collaboration are expected.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years of progressive IT leadership.
• 3–5+ years managing managers or multi-site teams.
• Experience in multi-entity environments (subsidiaries/affiliates/franchises, shared services, or federated nonprofits).
• Nonprofit sector experience with grantor/donor data requirements is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic IT roadmap aligned with organizational strategy and programmatic impact.
• Establish relationships across AVANCE San Antonio and subsidiaries to prioritize standards and manage project risk.
• Define and maintain enterprise IT policies (security, data retention, access, incident response, business continuity).
• Drive architecture standards for identity, devices, networks, data, and integrations across SAN ANTONIO and subsidiaries.
• Design, implement and maintain a uniform architecture for hardware, software, networks and services.
• Develop policies for hardware, software, and telecommunications systems usage.
• Certify backup and disaster recovery procedures and plans.
• Oversee network administration, security management, and service delivery across sites.
• Oversee ITIL-aligned service management and achieve SLAs for support and onboarding.
