Job summary

Endurance IT Services in Virginia is seeking an Assistant Vice President of Information Technology to lead strategy, digital transformation, and operational excellence in a senior IT leadership role onsite. This role partners with executive leadership to align technology with institutional goals.

You will drive modernization of infrastructure, oversee cybersecurity, cloud adoption, governance, and user support while guiding enterprise programs and budgets toward impactful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS/IS or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Progressive leadership experience managing enterprise IT operations and strategic tech initiatives.
• Strong background in infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud, digital transformation, and ITSM.
• Experience in higher education, large enterprise, or similarly complex environments preferred.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets, and deliver complex tech projects.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute strategic technology initiatives.
• Provide leadership for enterprise IT operations, infrastructure, service delivery, and support teams.
• Lead modernization efforts, including digital transformation, cloud adoption, AI initiatives, and process improvements.
• Oversee planning, execution, and successful delivery of technology projects and programs.
• Promote cybersecurity, IT governance, compliance, and operational best practices across the organization.
• Build strong relationships with business leaders and stakeholders to understand needs and deliver innovative technology solutions.
• Identify emerging technologies and opportunities to improve efficiency, user experience, and organizational performance.
