Job summary

Traylor Bros., Inc. is seeking an IT Specialist to maintain hardware, software, servers, networks, and user systems across our infrastructure. The role acts as an escalation point for the IT Helpdesk and participates in security, backup, and deployment activities.

You will handle Tier 1–2 support, manage user accounts, and assist with upgrades and new technology rollouts. Candidates typically have 1–5+ years in IT and a degree in IT/CS or related fields.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred but not required.
• 1–5+ years of IT support, system administration, or a related role.
• Proficiency with Windows and/or macOS administration.
• Strong understanding of networks (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls).

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1–2 technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Assist IT Helpdesk Analysts to diagnose and resolve desktop, laptop, and peripheral problems.
• Administer user accounts, permissions, and group policies in Active Directory or similar environments.
• Maintain operating systems and enterprise applications; monitor system performance.
• Support VPNs, remote access solutions, and conference room AV systems.
