Job summary

Texas A&M University at Galveston is seeking an IT Professional I to support the Technology Services unit. The role covers a broad range of systems, services, applications, and database management with unit-level support across multiple technical fields.

Responsibilities include hands-on workstation installation, configuration, and upgrades; user training for student workers; troubleshooting network issues; and contributing to security and endpoint management.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Four months (1 semester) of student worker and/or customer service experience.
Microsoft Certification MCSA SQL and Intune, Cisco CCNA, COMP TIA A+, Extron Certification.

Responsibilities

Installs, configures, maintains, and upgrades workstation hardware and software.
Provides training and supervision to departmental student workers on these procedures.
Investigates, troubleshoots, and resolves workstation and network issues.
Recommends upgrades for workstations as necessary.
Monitors and maintains system security.
End Point Management System Configuration.
