Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Group is seeking an IT Specialist to ensure smooth business processes and supporting systems with minimal downtime. You will handle day-to-day operations, hardware/software troubleshooting, and advanced desktop/laptop support while contributing to IT project delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, 2–3 years IT support, strong communication, and the ability to work weekends as needed in a fast-paced environment. On-site responsibilities in Memphis, TN.

Qualifications

• Experience with Windows 10, Office 2016/365, and Windows Server 2012/2016.
• Working knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy.
• Knowledge of smartphones and MDM solutions.
• PC and server hardware knowledge.
• Familiarity with VMware vSphere/ESXi and Nutanix HCI is a plus.
• Familiarity with CCTV and access control systems is a plus.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact with all levels professionally.
• High confidentiality and ethical standards.
• Willingness to work weekends and off-hours occasionally.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day IT operations to ensure minimal downtime.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on client systems.
• Patch servers, laptops, and PCs; maintain IT infrastructure documentation.
• Use incident and service request tools (ServiceNow).
• Provide on-site technical support and exceptional customer service.
• Escalate issues as needed to higher support levels.
• Ensure IT systems' integrity and security align with organizational needs.
• Provide advanced support for desktops, laptops, and applications.
• Lead IT projects to meet business goals.

The IT Specialist ensures business processes and supporting systems continue to meet business project stakeholder needs. This position is vital to the operations team's success, ensuring seamless production with minimal to no downtime.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Ensure day-to-day operations run effectively and efficiently. Which includes but is not limited to:
  • Laptops, desktops, and tablets
  • Cell phones and desk phones
  • Document Printers, Label Printers, and Xerox MFPs
  • Handheld RF Mobile Computers
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on client systems.
• Server, laptop, and PC patching
• Maintain existing IT infrastructure and process documentation.
• Discipline to use tools for incident and service request management (ServiceNow)
• Provide exceptional customer service and technical support for on-site users
• Resolve issues or ensure timely escalation to appropriate support level.
• Oversee the integrity and security of IT systems, ensuring they meet organizational needs.
• Provide advanced support for desktop and laptop computers, applications, and related technology.
• Lead IT projects, ensuring timely completion and alignment with business goals.

Education Requirements, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge/Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  2 – 3 Years of IT Support Experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
