Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Rock Hill, SC is seeking a full-time IT professional to support the City of Rock Hill's Information Technology Services. The role covers system, software, and hardware support, with emphasis on security, databases, and user assistance.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED with college coursework in computer science and 3–5 years of related experience. A valid driver’s license and the ability to pass an FBI background check are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with coursework toward an Associate Degree in Computer Science.
• Three to five years of progressive experience in computer operations and support.
• Equivalent mix of education, training and experience meeting required knowledge and skills.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass FBI background check.
• Strong English communication and proficient technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, configure, and support PCs and application software; basic networking.
• Analyze operational problems and propose solutions within policy and procedures.
• Document all activities and maintain records in tracking tools.
• Manage user accounts on network and host systems; provide user assistance.
• Apply cyber security practices to all activities and teach necessary skills to groups.
• Create SQL queries and build reports for multiple departments.
• Support software programs city-wide and coordinate with other departments.
