Job summary

Chippewa Valley Technical College in Eau Claire is seeking an Associate Technology Services Technician to provide routine technical support for desktops, laptops, tablets, and related equipment, following established procedures to assist users and campus operations.

You will troubleshoot basic issues, assist with installation and deployment of college technology, support learning management systems, and document problems using service desk processes; collaboration with staff is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 6 months IT experience.
• Currently pursuing or completed coursework in Information Technology or a related field.
• Experience with computer installation, support, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and perform minor repairs on technology equipment in classrooms and offices.
• Troubleshoot routine issues with desktops, peripherals, software, and user accounts; escalate as needed.
• Assist with deployment of College technology per specifications and design.
• Provide basic support for learning management systems and College applications.
• Use service desk processes to document, track, and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with Technology Services staff and other departments to resolve issues.
