Job summary

Pomeroy is seeking a Project Transition Manager to lead the onboarding and transition of managed IT services, including Service Desk, Field Services, and Cyber Security. You will work with clients, delivery leaders, and vendors to ensure a smooth move from contract award to steady-state operations.

You will coordinate governance, training, go-live readiness, and hypercare support while managing risks, timelines, and stakeholder communications across several service towers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Project Management or related discipline.
• 7+ years of IT project or transition management experience.
• 5+ years managing IT service transitions within outsourced or managed services.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end transition programs from project initiation through operational handoff.
• Develop transition plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies and risk registers.
• Coordinate multiple workstreams across Service Desk, Field Services, Managed Network and Cyber Security teams.
• Drive governance through executive status reporting and stakeholder communications.
• Ensure all contractual obligations and Statements of Work are translated into executable operational plans.
• Oversee onboarding, knowledge transfer, and readiness for Service Desk, Field Services, and Network/Cyber teams.
